Dream Chasing? Here’s Four Helpful Tips

Following our dreams can be challenging, but we have a few helpful tidbits to share to assist you along the journey.

  • Get clear on your desires

We believe in the power of manifestation and being clear about what we want. Take the time to reflect on what goals you're working towards, whether they're short-term or long-term. Having a clear vision of where you'd like to go helps you be more intentional about the paths necessary to get you there. Want to take it a step further? Write it out and "make it plain," as our friend Fik would always say. You'd be amazed at how things begin to

  • Persistence pays off

We struggle with putting in the work and not immediately seeing the results in front of us. Imagine if farmers planted seeds today and expected a bounty of produce by the following morning. It just doesn't work like that, no matter how much we wish we did. However, tending to our crops, aka our dreams, routinely ensures they receive the love and care they need to flourish. Even if it's only five minutes here and there, dedicate time each day that helps you work towards the dreams you endeavor to turn into realities.

  • Be true to you

Social media will make you think it's only one way to achieve your dreams. Some will say grind it out and join #teamnosleep, and others may say all you have to do is sit back and let the universe work in your favor. Knowing your work style and what you have the capacity for is crucial because what works for someone else may not be it for you. People will give you loads of advice (even us with this blog post), but you have to be honest about the best fit for you.

  • Tune out the distractions

As I( Kamil) write this, I've already stopped to scroll Instagram five times. I threw my phone out of reach to get this post done. Maybe you can relate to distractions that grab your attention when you should be focusing on something else. Identify those things that hinder you from doing what you've set out to do. For some, it may be social media, but for others, it could be relationships, other tasks on your to-do list, or even that nagging inner critic telling you this goal isn't worth your time. Once you have an idea of your distractions, you can begin to create a plan to block them out in a way that allows you to focus on your dreams in motion.
